In life, we go through seasons; seasons of growth, seasons of sorrow, seasons of joy, and seasons of drought. Seasons change, and with each change, there are new tests and trials.
Here lately, I have been feeling a change coming. The end of one season and the start of the next. What will this season bring? What lessons will I learn? What tests will I face? These are the questions that have been on my mind lately. As I pondered, the book of Ecclesiastes was brought up, specifically, chapter three. Chapter three talks about the things I was feeling; the changing of the seasons.
"For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven. a time to be born, a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up what was planted; a time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; a time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; a time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing; a time to seek, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away; a time to tear, and a time to sew; a time to love, and a time to hate; a time for war, and a time for peace." Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 ESV
Reading this just made it that much more clear. Times come and times go, but the most important thing is to be rooted and grounded in Christ. Leaning on him in the good times and the bad. Resting in his promises, that he will never leave us.
Hope this has encouraged you today,
